As many of you already know, I’m about to hike to the base camp of Mount Everest. Just a few days left before I leave. It’s been hard with schoolwork, training, packing and so much more, but I’m so excited. I can’t believe I’m leaving on Friday. I’m pretty much packed now except for a few things that I left out. I have so much gear, it took me, my mom & my grandfather almost 10 minutes just to zip it up! I’m almost done getting ahead with my school work. That has been one of the hardest things, because it’s near the end of the year, so I’m missing some end of the year projects. Overall, I’m excited and nervous for my trip.

What a great adventure you have in store for you. Your Second Grade teacher is very excited for you. My husband wishes he could do this trip, too. Please take photos of the Buddhist temples you see along the way.
