Let’s say that a mars rover has to get over a large mountain to get to where it has to go. If you have to go up then you have to program it with distance and power in mind. You would have to have high power for it to go up and down the mountain. And the distance would have to be measured so it wouldn’t fall off a cliff. With each variable set right the rover would make it over the mountain.

The Mars Rover
The new Mars Rover is ready for launch. It has been programmed to examine the Ice Caps of mars, not missing a single detail. Opon Landing, a camera juts out the Rover, sending live video footage from sattelite to earth. It speeds of with its treads at 50 miles and hour, to the Northern Ice Cap. Opon arriving, it takes a sample of the frozen CO2 Ice “shell” and inserting it in to a storage container to be examined back on earth. It then takes a sample of the frozen water beneath the surface. Now it breaks a hole in the CO2 Ice shell can submerges itself in the water, to explore the bottom surface. It takes pictures, and still records video. Then it reemerges, then puts it self back on solid ground, then travels to the southern Ice Cap to do the same thing, again.
Finally, it returns the the ship where it was released from and is lifted back inside. When it rockets off back to earth. This mission should take a total from 1/2 to 2 years.

Creating a program for our robot to go four meters– despite how difficult it immediately sounds– was quite difficult. We picked out Power (speed) Variable, but that wasn’t important. We used our Duration Variable, which measured how many times the wheel would rotate, to decide the distance. It required quite a challenge of Trial-and-error. But in the end we accomplished it. Then we had to rewrite the program twice again, but different but still going four meters. We finally finished, and made our robot dance along the way.

im going to tell you guys about the best and worst of the robotics. One of the best things about the robotics is making the robot yourself. Another thing is programing it with your partner. One thing I don’t like about it is that you have to record everything you do. These are my feelings about robotics so far.
