blog assignment #4
A robot on Mars could be used for exploring the planet’s surface and atmosphere. Camera’s are sometimes attached to robots. Also robots can dig in the planet’s surface and use those samples for tests. Pictures and videos can be taken of Mars. All of these things help scientists discover more about Mars and if life was ever or could ever exist on it.

blog assignment 2
A big obstacle I faced was turning in circles and making the robot turn on one wheel to get a right angle. At first, I thought I had to click the button on the programing screen that said Loop, but then I figured out that I needed to click 3 times to the right on the bottom of the screen where the arrow is. I also had trouble with estimating the number of rotations and the power number. Rotations is the variable for distance. It is how many times the wheels on your robot turn. Power is the variable of speed. It is how much speed you give to your robot. Estimating this is hard because you don’t really know how many rotations your robot needs to get from one place to another.

blog assignment 2
The obstacles we have faced are putting the right amount of duration, the right speed and getting the right distance. The circle was not that hard but making it go backwards around the circle was extremly difficult. Making Express go 4 meters was really easy. all the different ways of going 4 meters was also very easy. Somethings that were difficult included making it go in a 90 degree angle, and the obstacle course is very, very, difficult. The speed variable is the amount of power your robot has. The duration variable is how many rotations the wheels on Express go in before it stops or changes direction.

blog asignment 1
The European Space Agency created a mission called the Mars Express. The Express is exploring Mars. The Mars express has two different parts: The Beagle 2 and the Mars Express Orbiter. When this mission was first started, it failed to land safely on Mars. Express is a very interesting mission and I hope to continue learning more about it.

challenges
I worked with William and we faced many challenges. We found it easy to build the actual robot, but hard to find the peices. The programing was particuarlly easy, we got the the basic programmig down , but we needed to experiment with making it go a full circle or going 4 meters the. Mindstorms software was 9/10 times reliable. Although somtimes it shutdown randomly when we needed it to work. Overall it was very reliable and the project was very fun
