I put up the trailer to another one of my favorite movies, Cool Runnings. This is the true story about the first Jamaican bobsled team. There is no snow or ice in Jamaica, so you can aimagine how hard it was for them to qualify for the Olympics. But they really wanted it, and they made it into the Olympics. I’m afraid if I tell you anymore I will give it away, so you should watch it sometime. But for those of you who have seen it, what did you think about the movie? Here’s the trailer.

Do you have a favorite band/musical artist? My favorite artist is Jack Johnson. His music is calm, mellow and easy going. Something that makes me happy is that Jack Johnson cares about the environment and those in need, for example he performed ‘Imagine’ by John Lennon for Instant Karma: The Campaign to Save Darfur. Or for another example his record label’s recording studio (Brushfire Records, in Hawaii) is insulated with recycled blue jeans. When I get home I always like to start my homework to a little Jack Johnson, what about you? Just so you can get a little taste of Jack Johnson, I put up a video of my favorite song by him called ‘If I Had Eyes’.

Two Saturdays ago, Saturday Night Live had a sketch about President Obama. It shows that Obama is a very calm person who does well under pressure – though it kind of makes fun of his calmness by showing him turn into The Rock Obama (played by Dwayne the Rock Johnson). I think that such a calm president will help our country when we are in trouble (like now). How do you think a president’s calmness can help their country? Last Saturday, Tracy Morgan (from 30 Rock and also once on the cast of SNL, below) hosted Saturday Night Live. For those of you who saw that show, what did you think about it? Do you think Tracy did a good job? I personally loved last Saturdays show and think it had some of the funniest skits in a while. If you would like to see a skit from Tracy’s earlier days on the cast of SNL, Christopher put a hilarious video on his blog which I’m sure you will enjoy.

Ok, here’s my story for English.
I was ten months old, and I had just learned to walk. So I was walking all around and my mom sometimes lost track of where I was. This is one such occasion, when I had walked up the steps to the upstairs of my house. I don’t know exactly how many steps, but there is a lot. Ok I just counted and there are thirteen, which is kind of a lot for a baby I guess. They are not carpeted either, and at the bottom of the steps the floor is hardwood as well. So I was going up step by step, and when I got to the top, my mom happened to walk by the bottom of the steps and see her ten month old baby at the very top of the steps which took her by surprise and she screamed. Causing me to loose what little ballance I had, and fall backwards down the thirteen hardwood steps and finally land on the ground floor in front of her. It was a long time ago so I don’t remember it, but I imagine that I was in a lot of pain.

Last week, Ms. Sterne had us do a warm-up on our bucket list. She said we can put it on our blog, so that’s what I’m doing now, with a few alterations. (this is not in any specific order).
1. Get as many clustr map views on any website/blog of my own as Mr. Posten or possibly more
2. Save someone’s life
3. Meet Andy Samberg, my favorite actor/comedian
4. Drive a zamboni
5. Go out of the country somewhere
6. Fly first class on a plane
7. Live in the wilderness for a little bit

Even though it’s not Spring until March 20, spring sports are already starting. I play tennis at Lovett, what are the spring sports you play? I’m guessing that most of you play baseball or lacrosse in the spring.

What tv shows does everyone like to watch? What are your favorite movies? Actors? My favorite tv show is Saturday Night Live. My favorite actor is Andy Samberg (below) and my favorite movie is Hot Rod. Andy Sandberg stars in Hot Rod and he is also on the cast of SNL, which is half the reason I like either of them so much. If you read the title, you would know that this is fun stuff. If you didn’t, then you need to start reading titles. If you think your blog is better than mine, you’re wrong. Mine is just the best. Ok now that we have that down, first and foremost, what makes a blog good, or even, so to speak the best? If you have any ideas, then please comment.
