To reverse this, the U.S. must be more proactive towards educating institutions, such as families and schools, as well as children, for they are predisposed to the destructive repercussions of this condition, and therefore, it must be stopped.

Tandem all the way. They both are really a pain. The side by side is not only a pain in doorways but also in stores trying to get around the clothing racks and people. The tandem just feels really long and it can be hard to turn. I personally took the move from a tandem to a sit and stand. So worth the money if you ask me. It comes with the attachment you need to put your infant seat on the front and your 1 year old can face you in the back and it has a seat belt or he can stand. My kids love the standing option they think it’s fun.The one I have is the Joovy brand it was $ 119 at babies r us but shop around I think you can find them cheaper now. That appears good but i’m just still not so sure that I like it. However will look further into it and choose personally!
