candor story
Hello, this is Nasa we have gathered important information about mars. A huge meteor has landed on mars. Its has broken the surface of mars and has dropped down 57 feet. Some kind of liquid has come out of the hole but, its not water. We are sending our rover, candor, up there to investigate the liquid. He will be programed to go up to mars at a million miles per minute. his fuel will be stocked up with one million bottles of fizzy bubble, as seen in don’t mess with the zohan. Candor took off this morning, he should be there right now gathering the liquid.(1 minute later)Candor has taken off and should be at earth in 1 minute.(1 more minute later) Candor has given us the liquid and it will be taken to a lab, this lab will take up to 2 months to identify the liquid. (2 months later) The liquid found on mars has come back. Our finest scientist have worked on it and figured out that it is the secret recipe for making orange flavored ferbreeze!!! This is a remarkable discorvery. Thank you candor!

Candor’s trip to Mars
Hooray!!! The crowd is shouting loudly as they hear that Candor has officially landed on Mars. The mission is to see if there is any living creatures on Mars. The first couple of minutes were the best. Candor right as he landed took a few pictures of Mars, and I finally know why they call it the Red Planet. You should see all the martian dust on the planet, it’s amazing. Ah!!!! Something hit Candor the camera clips are coming in all scratched. Activate microphone. “What is this,” a voice said. “What is this machine on our planet beep beep bop.” Oh my gosh. Mutters from the crowd say. I think we have completed our mission.
NASA come in. We have completed our mission. We have found life on Mars. The headline was going all over the place. We have just succeeded one of the greatest things on Earth. NASA agreed to work hard to create a suit for an astronaut and a ship to take them to Mars. It will take a while but they said it will work. Just think how much more knowledge we will finally have. All thanks to Candor. HOORAY!!!

In a Circle
it really wasn’t a challenge for me and ECM to get candor to go in a full circle and touch every piece of ta. Our hypothesis was, if candor has the power of 59 and the duration of 19.5 then he will go in a circle becaue we programed him correctly. at first he swung to far around but then we tried to program him into a tight circle. when that failed all we did was change the duration and the turn and candor went in a circle!

4 meters
candor was my robot. Our hypothesis was, if Cadorhas the power of 64 and the duration of 23, then Candor will go 4 meters in a straight lin beacuse we programed him correctly. I thought that it was hard to estimate the right time and power for him to go in a straight line for 4meters. One challenge that i faced when i was trying to program candor, was getting him to go straight. i think that the back wheel needs some fixing. it took Emily and i about 6 times to get the right duration and power. sometimes you have to take off some power when you robot goes over the line, i though you had to take of duration. Duration determines how far your ropbot should go. Power determines how fast your robot will go.

Circle
To make our robot Candor travel in a complete circle was a tricky task. We had to first make the robot turn but not to much. Just figuring out how to turn it took a while. Then the problem of how long to set the robot was hard. My hypothesis was if the robot runs with 70% power and 20% rotation then it will go in a full circle because this is the best guess. We changed the variable to 19% rotation to see if it would stop at the finish line. We had to take off another to make it 18% rotation so it would stop at he finsih line. Our last hypothesis was if the robot runs with 70% power and 18% rotation then it will go in a complete circle because this is our best guess. We completed the circle in about three days, it was a very fun experiment.

Blog #4 Story
Hello, this NASA space station on the radio. We are reporting about about an emergency on Mars. One of our own probes has actually landed on MArs and fallen into a valley on Mars called Candor. We need to get it out or………..Anyway, we have gatherd data from Candor that there are acctually life on Mars! Live aliens! Water flows through Candor rapidly. The prbe that is stuck in Candor has taken pictures, and they are very unique. They have 4 arms and 1 leg. There civilization is much like ours.
“What’s happening?!?!?!?!” The aliens are helping the probe get out of Candor! they are pushing it out. The probe is free thanks to the aliens! WOW!

Candor’s Trip to Mars!
“Tim, Check this out Candor just landed on Mars.” said Debroah. “How remarkble.” said Debroah. “Im going to make sure i programed her right.” said Tim. “Thats a good idea we wouldn’t want any trouble up there.” Debroah told him. Tim went to go look at the programing that he had told candor to do. He looked over it and everything looked fine, untill he came to the end, he didn’t remember programing this. In 3hours Candor was going to blow up Mars!!!
Oh goodness how could this be, I should have double checked her, before I sent her up into space. It would be amazing if he found out new facts about mars on her trip, but if she blows it up, it will be all my fault!” Tim yelled. Tim was panicking in 3 hours Candor was going to blow up Mars! Tim went into a room in the space staition which had a sign on the door that said; IF CANDOR IS GOING TO BLOW UP MARS IN 3 HOURS. Tim walked in he grabbed Deimos he programed deimos to go up to Mars and disactivate Candor, he also programmed Deimos to explore mars, and find out some interesting facts on it, Tim was desperate to know if there was life or if Candor or Deimos could sense anything on it interesting.
Now it was time for Deimos to go up and find Candor, in about an hour Candor’s bomb was deactivated, and Deimos came back down to Earth. While Candor stayed up trying to find any interesting facts about Mars, Tim had programed Candor to go straight and then turn 45degrees left, this is where Tim and Debroah had found a hole that they wanted to examine, Candor went into that whole and found out that Mars had been hit by someting extremely big, now Candor must figure out what it was.

Circle Challenge
I wasn’t there when candor completed the challenge but i was there when making most of the hypothesis. Candor when in a circle on a power of 40 and the rotation amount was 25. I did infact see it go in a complete circle. I enjoyed this challenge and learning how to make an educated guess with the facts you have.

Candor Circle
My robot Candor, had the task of going in a complete circle. It took about 11 hypothesis, untill we got it right. Finally Candor went in a full circle with a power of 40 and are duration at 25. This hands on experience was fun.

4 meters
Our robot is Candor. Our first task for Candor was to go four meters in a straight line. This took us 7 tries! It is harder than it looks! On the first try, we put our power as 55 and our duration as 15. The power 55 turned out to be really slow, so we bumped it up to 65. The duration amount of 15 was way to short, so we changed it to 25. For the last one, we programed Candor to go a power of 64 and a duration amount of 23. This finally worked. I really did like this challenge because it taught us the basics about programing and what CAndor can do. I think my partner and I really work well together. She helps me with things I don’t understand, and I do the same with her.
